Today we learn how to use a bow and arrow in Minecraft Multiplayer. First, we needed to find out how to get feathers. We already had wood, string and flint. Lan gives me his bow and some arrows, because he already knows how to use a bow and arrow, and I try it out on the undead. Later I go and kill a chicken, because that’s how to get feathers. They come from killing chickens and skeletons. After I gathered some, I needed to give them to Lan. Then I needed to figure out how to get feathers to Lan. When I placed one next to him it just gathered back to me. Then I just stuck the feather to his head, and he absorbed it into his tool belt. I thought that was funny.
Turns out, how to use the bow and arrow is just to select it on your tool belt, aim, and right click on your target. It didn’t seem like you need to account for arching. I just shot straight at my enemy and it looked like he was affected. The creature was very far away, so it’s hard to say what really happened. It might be a good idea to practice on animals, or even nicer, a tree?
It felt good to finally have a bow and arrow to use to kill bad guys. The sword is fun, too, but the arrows seem to be more accurate. Just point and shoot. You don’t have some jerk zombie up in your face killing you while your shooting them. They can be at a distance. It’s also nice to have Lan with me in Multiplayer so he can attract all the skeletons and zombies. It is sad to see him blow up from mass attack, and sometimes there is little I can do to help.
